WOMEN DETECTIVES
AT THE UNIVERSITY

Grand Forks, N. D., May 31.-Two women detectives, enrolling as students at the University of North Dakota, have been successful in breaking up petty thievery in two of the girls' dormitories, the guilty girls having left the institution under pressure. Six weeks ago the detectives appeared and enrolled for work. They attended classes regularly until two or three days ago, when they dropped out of sight. The following day the girls, against whom charges had been made by the detectives, were dismissed from the school, confessing their guilt when confronted with the proof. The girls who have gone from the university, it is understood, are of wealthy families.
