LONDON, Aug. 10 -
British Champion Randy Turpin will not fight in San Francisco as recently announced.
"It's either New York or London-San Francisco is out," Manager George Middleton said.
Sid Flaherty, Olson's manager, wants the fight in the bay area. The International Boxing Club, however, favors New York's Madison Square Garden. Therefore, everything about the fight is settled but the date and place--which is just about everything.
Observers say both sides are likely to agree on late September or October, but where is still a mute question.
