Full Text

LONDON, March 25.

By Letters from Petersburg we are informed, that an epistolary Negociation in order to bring about Peace, is Set on Foot between the Court of Russia and the Ottoman Porte, in which, according to the Declaration of Russia, the Emperor would be comprehended. On the other side it's pretended to be notoriously known, that France labours strenuously to effect a separate Peace between his Imperial Majesty and the Ottoman Porte, exclusive of Russia; so that there seems to be great contending who amongst the Powers concerned in this War shall get out of it first, each finding but little is to be got by it, but bloody Noses and empty Coffers.
