We likewise hear from Providence in the Colony of Rhode-Island that one Josiah Tabor, commonly called Friday Still, was taken up in that Town for passing counterfeit mill'd Dollars, Cobs, and other smaller Coin; and upon searching Pieces of bad Money, Receipts for mixing Metals, with Implements for burnishing the same, were found upon him: He was had before James Angel, Esq; and examined, who thought proper to commit him to Goal, in order to take his Trial at their next Superior Court. The Coin that he passed away was made of a base Mixture, and but indifferently executed, especially the Mill'd Pieces; but the Cobs might deceive the unwary.
