CONGRESS. We are too much pressed for room to give the proceedings of Friday and Saturday except in very few words. On Friday, in the House the Revenue Bill was the first thing in order, and after a meeting of the Committee of Conference was finally passed. Then came up the consideration of the Veto Message, which was debated in a very spirited and spicy manner till near the close of the day. Mr. Botts was very severe upon the President. The question was then taken upon the Bill, "shall it pass, notwithstanding the President's objections?" and was determined by yeas 103—nays 80. It requiring two thirds, of course was rejected. All the Whigs voted in the affirmative except the three impracticables from Virginia, and Messrs. W. W. Irwin and Proffit. The Senate had but little business before it.

On Saturday, the House was occupied nearly all day upon the report of the Committee respecting the quarrel of Messrs. Wise and Stanley. It eventuated in a censure of Mr. Wise only, who made a humble apology to the House. The Senate was engaged nearly all day in executive session. Nearly all the appointments are now confirmed. Both Houses passed resolutions to adjourn on Monday.
