Second ARA Training Class Scheduled to Graduate
JUNEAU (UPI) - The second training class to be completed in Alaska under the Area Redevelopment Act is scheduled to receive graduation certificates at Ketchikan Community College today.
The 18 graduates, who have completed a 16-week course in general office clerk duties, received $42 a week while in training.
The subsistence payments were made possible through a $13,360 grant by the U.S. Department of Labor. The U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare contributed $5,268 for the teaching staff, equipment and supplies.
