Besides direct aid the auxiliary performs another task. The anti-labor ideas disseminated by the newspapers, the influence of women in politics, women as consumers—all this makes the legislative and educational work of the auxiliary invaluable.
Now besides the war profiteers are telling us the lifting of the embargo will permit war profits the same as in the last world war. Only in organization will the voice of women-the women who bear the brunt of the next world war-be heard.
We must organize now for peace, social security and the right to a decent living!
