Ovation to Stanley,

London, August 15.—Mr. Stanley the correspondent of the New York Herald, was present by invitation at the opening of the meeting of the British Geographical Association, at Brighton, yesterday afternoon. His presence created much enthusiasm among the members and his reception was a perfect ovation. The literary and scientific celebrities present took up and discussed the subject of Mr. Stanley's travels in Africa, and he (Stanley) entertained them with an interesting account of his labors in that country. He also gave a detailed narrative of the condition in which he found Livingstone and the views entertained by that gentleman regarding the location and probable source of the Nile.
