An eleven-year-old boy was killed here Sunday when a white hit and run driver splattered his bicycle and sped away.
The youth was identified as Howard Cloud, 786 Hubbard St., S. W. Witnesses told police that Cloud stopped his bicycle at McDaniel and Berkele Streets, S. W., at a stop sign.
The car sped by, rammed the bicycle and hurled Cloud to the ground. Grady authorities said the youth died of head injuries.
According to witnesses the two white men in the car hurled a whiskey bottle out of the window as they rushed off. Detectives traced the car to Americus, Ga.
Witnesses chased the auto in a truck, but were outdistanced.
