CHARGED WITH MURDER.

Filipino Who Captured Aguinaldo Sent to Prison for Life.

Denver, Jan. 3.—Manila dispatches received at the headquarters of the department of the Colorado in this city state that Hilario Placido, a Filipino who aided General Funston in the capture of Aguinaldo, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for murder. Details of the crime are lacking, but General Funston and other officers here who know the scout believe that the crime was committed since they left the island, as it does not seem probable that Placido could have been called to account for anything done during the time he was engaged as an active participant in the revolution.

Placido was nominal commander of the Funston expedition and is the man who threw Aguinaldo on the floor and held him until the others made him prisoner.
