"HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

War conditions and preparations for further activities in war relief work throughout the country do not keep us from remembering that this is the beginning of a new year, that there are old friends for years past, many of them on European battle fronts today, others here at home, but all of whom will be glad of a word of greeting from us.

Your neighbor meets you on the street and with his greeting typifies the spirit of the season.

As your Columbia neighbors as well as your tradesmen, we wish to extend to you the season's greetings and to thank you for your co-operation and friendship of the past.

And to you and yours on New Year's Day, 1918, we extend a "HAPPY NEW YEAR!"
