Hon. W. A. H. Miller, Chairman Greenback State Executive Committee, Austin, Texas:

Dear Sir:—Your published call for a State convention to meet in Austin the 23 of June, has reached us. So far as we can learn, the adherents of our party in North Texas, would be gratified if the convention could be held at a more accessible point than Austin, and we trust that you will consider their wishes, and if possible, select another point, under arrangements which will insure the attendance of delegates from every voting precinct in the State.

A grand political State convention held under encampment regulations at Hearne, Robertson county, would, it is believed, call out a full delegation of the Greenback farmers, mechanics and business men, by the thousands if need be, and insure the attendance of a more complete representation than has ever been known to assemble in our State in behalf of political reform. We are confident that it will be possible to hold a convention under encampment at Hearne, made up of a larger and more liberal representation than the political history of Texas has ever known.

A State ticket presented by such a large convention, offering for the high and important offices the names of some of the best men adhering to the cause, men honest and capable, who are willing to go before the people upon a platform of progress and reform, as well as upon their own merits as good citizens, would command the respect and confidence of the people and carry a majority of the voting strength of the State.

Please consider this matter in council with members of the State Executive committee and favor us with an early reply.

Yours truly,

WM. H. LITTELL,

Chairman Executive Committee Third Congressional district.

John J. Eakin,

Chairman Dallas County Executive committee,

And many others.
