Woodward, a Lad of about 15, Son to
Francis Woodward of Rock Creek in Frederick
County, carrying a Log of Wood on
his Shoulder to lay on the Fire, his Feet slipp'd,
just as he came to the Threshold, and he
fell on his Back, and the Log on his Face and
Breast: his little Sister holding the Door.
cry'd out, on which the Father ran out and
took him up, finding him with the Blood
gushing out at his Mouth, Nose, and Ears.
He was perceiv'd once to move his Hand and
Neck and Died in about an Hour, without
a Struggle.
