MURDER.

A foul murder occurred in Baltimore on Thursday morning last. It was committed at a tavern in High Street, by John Price, known as "City John," upon his Brother-in-law, George W. Campbell. Price was under the influence of liquor. The following were the circumstances, as stated in the Sun.

A witness endeavoring to get Campbell to go home—had a conversation with him, in which Campbell spoke of the relationship existing between him and Price, and that they had always been on good terms. About this, whilst in the bar, Price fired a pistol, apparently at random; the ball from which passed through a window and into the fence in the yard. A general expostulation among those present took place, against Price's firing the pistol, in which Campbell joined. Price said to Campbell, "are you mad with me?" Campbell answered that he was not. The parties having been drinking at the bar, Price threw part of his glass of liquor into Campbell's face. Campbell raised his hands, in one of which was a walking cane, as if in the act of warding off the liquor. He wiped the liquid from his face, in which he was aided by witness, who endeavored to persuade Campbell to leave the place and go home. While his face was being wiped, Campbell asked, "John, what did you do that for?" Price replied, "are you mad? Were you going to hit me with that stick?" Campbell said, "No I am not angry," at the same time letting his stick fall to the floor. Price then pulled out a pistol and fired: Campbell fell into the arms of witness, at the same time exclaiming, "I am killed."

Price was arrested without difficulty or resistance.
