RENEWS LEASE ON MILL

"The Combination Fraction company has secured an extension of its lease on our mill," said Manager Wallace McGregor of the Nevada-Goldfield Reduction Works, Wednesday, "and in two or three days the stamps of the mill will again be dropping on Combination ore.

"We are getting in shipments of custom ore right along, from outside properties, but as much of this ore can be handled by outside smelters at a better rate than our concentration mill can handle it, we are shipping it.

There is a heavy demand for silicious ores at present by the outside smelters, silica being needed to an extent that the smelters are giving extremely advantageous rates on silicious ores at the present time."

Mr. McGregor would not make any statement as to whether the Combination would run the full capacity of the mill, 90 tons per day, on its own ore, or as to how long a time the extension of the lease on the mill had been signed for.
