Muddy Road—Delay Gov. Henry Allen

TOPEKA, Kan., July 24.—Muddy roads caused the postponement today of Gov. Henry J. Allen's invasion of William Allen White's home town, Emporia, to speak at the scheduled 'Henry and Me' day.

Governor Allen had planned to motor to White's town early today. Heavy rains spoiled the trip and the first meeting with his 'pal' White since the tilt between the good old friends over White's fight for free speech in Kansas.

The governor announced he would go by train tonight to Emporia and make his scheduled address at the normal school there tomorrow morning.
