JOHN QUINCY ADAMS.

By invitation, Mr Adams visited Cincinnati, Ohio, to aid in laying the Corner Stone to a new Observatory in that city. He was received with the warmest marks of joy, and the gathering on the occasion was immense. He then proceeded, by invitation, to Louisville, Ky. and was there, and at other places in the same state enthusiastically greeted by the people. Cannon were fired on his arrival in several places, and the "old man eloquent" feelingly replied to the congratulations offered him. He was invited by Mr. Clay to visit Ashland. He left Kentucky for Pittsburgh, Penn. where myriads of people poured out to see him. No man, except Gen. Harrison, of late, in his travels, has met so generally, the warm, hearty, and enthusiastic greetings of gathered hosts, as has John Quincy Adams. Blessings be upon his venerable head.
