SPRING

As I sit in my class room and look around in space
I begin to think of all the time I have put to waste;
I haven't done anything quite big,
I don't know what to do
But that does not seem enough to make me blue.

I look out the window -while the sun beams down
The girls are playing hopscotch;
the boys are running around;
I wonder what it really is that gives these thoughts to me-s.
Maybe it's the little birds that are singing twee-twee-tweet!
Or maybe it's the fragrant smell of the sweet American rose

It could probably be any of these things that make me sing
But I really think that it is the coming of the sweet April spring.

To me spring is the sweetest time I know
It is the time that everything seems to grow.
Plants burst out of the ground and wrestle with the air
As the birds leave their nests and go to fare
The butterflies come out and mingle with the bees
And the trees began to bud and sail with the breeze.
