HAMBURGH, February 21.

The Raven, English sloop of war of 18 guns, lately wrecked in a gale, upon the sands near the Red Buoy, at the mouth of the Elbe, by the ignorance or carelessness of the Danish pilots, two of whom were on board, was, two days previous to her going to pieces, the scene of every human exertion to get her off, but without avail. At length, when all hopes of saving her were at an end, the crew, with the usual enthusiasm of thoughtlessness, began to break open and plunder every article of stores, provisions, officers chests, &c. Three Blankenese boats came alongside when the storm a little abated, and, by means of ropes fastened round the body of each man, in his turn pulled there on board, not being able to put a boat out, nor drive up any closer. Capt. Dixon was obliged to set the first example, before any of the men would submit to this dangerous mode of saving themselves. At length the whole was landed at Cuxhaven, and soon after a great number of them deserted different ways. About forty of them came here a few days ago; they were followed by two officers who by application to the Magistrates, persuasion, &c. got some of them back again: but about twenty of them, amongst whom were five of the Delegates in the late mutiny at the Nore enlisted here with the Austrian recruiter, and endeavors to get them back, or have their engagement cancelled, proved ineffectual.

They will probably be marched to Venice if the Emperor has any project of forming a maritime establishment there. Yesterday the two English Officers returned to Cuxhaven.
