THE LIGHT'S DAILY PATTERN
PLEASING GOWN
For Afternoons.
The fashion-makers are creating some very charming gowns which are simple enough to easily come within the abilities of the home dressmaker.
Such a one is sketched, and a word as to its development may prove acceptable. The waist is a full round one, having a square yoke adorned with a square bertha of embroidery. An inner gathered yoke is provided for in the pattern, and may be used or not as desired. The sleeves are in puff style, with or without the deep cuff.
In a supple material the waist is exceedingly pretty, and a cloth, veiling, pongee or silk might serve. The skirt is in 13 gores, and very graceful with its tiny box plaits ended in tabs at yoke depth. The skirt may be finished in the modish short sweep length or in the round length. For the medium size, 10 1/4 yards of 42-inch material are needed.
Two patterns - 2481 - Sizes 32, 34, 36, 38 inches bust measure. 2482 - Sizes 22 to 30 inches waist.
The price of these patterns is 20c, but either will be sent upon receipt of 10c.
