SPILLVILLE.

(From our regular correspondent.)

July 7, 1902.

Will Novak spent the Fourth at McGregor.

Miss Mary Tucek of Calmar was home on a vacation.

Mrs. Winn, of Calmar called on friends in town Monday.

Editor Dodd of the Fort was a business caller Thursday.

Misses Sydow of Conover were in town shopping Monday.

M. J. Nicholson, of Ossian was in our vicinity Monday.

H. Northrop of Waucoma was a business caller in our city one day last week.

Miss Ratcliffe of Waukon is the guest of Spillville relatives.

Mr. Shema of Decorah, visited relatives and friends here last week.

The majority of Spillvillites celebrated at the Fort and Protovin.

Mr. Meyer of Calmar was looking after business matters in the city Thursday.

Edd Mashek and Tony Vosllo of Bluffton came home to spend the Fourth.

Dr. Ratcliffe was a caller at Conover one day last week.

F. Chekel of Chicago spent a few days at the home of his father last week.

Misses Bertha Haug and Lou Haug returned home from New Hampton last Monday.

Mr. Vrba, of Duncan, Ia., departed for his home Wednesday after an extended visit with relatives.

Mrs. Rothenberger left for Waucoma last Thursday for a visit with relatives.

Pupils of the parochial school picnicked near town Monday. All report a good time.

Mrs. Mikesh and Cummins, of Conover were guests of Mrs. C. H. Hauser Monday.

Mrs. J. Breckenridge and daughter Julia visited at the home of Dr. J. J. Ratcliffe from Thursday until Sunday.

Misses Bear and Christopher of Decorah, were the guests of Miss Nora Valenta the latter part of last week.

A. D. Mashek and Miss Emma Mashek of Hartley, Iowa, were home on a short visit with relatives and friends.
