The fall term of the Hope School opened Monday under the most auspicious circumstances. The teaching force has been increased to six and the course has been changed to comply with the requirements of the state high school board. Application has been made for classification as a state high school. A chemical laboratory with a full equipment of chemicals and appliances has been instituted and a compound microscope ordered.
W. C. Slater as principal has the tenth and eleventh grades. Miss Ostrander has the eighth and ninth, Misses Cress and Jefferson have the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh grades in the Rugg building. Miss Julia Larson has the second and Miss Gilmore the first primary.
