May 26-INS-An irate father, angered at his son who had been arrested with five other boys on a charge of automobile theft, ripped off his belt in police headquarters, spanked his errant offspring and sauntered from the place with tears in his eyes. "What am I going to do?" the puzzled father asked today. "My son could have had my car anytime he wanted it." The spanking was inspired by Inspector Jack Harvill, a firm believer in the axiom "spare the rod and spoil the child".
