Montana to be Featured on Nationwide Radio Program.
The state of Montana will be featured by Alex Dreier, noted radio commentator, during a nationwide program on Sunday, Nov. 17, over NBC-Monitor, it was announced this week by Jack Hallowell, advertising director of the State Highway Commission.
Radio stations KGHL Billings, KXLF Butte, KXLQ Bozeman, KXLJ Helena, KXLK Great Falls, KXLL Missoula, KSEI Pocatello, Idaho; KFYR Bismarck, N. D., and KHQ Spokane, Wash. will carry the "Salute to Montana" at 4:05 p. m. Mountain Standard Time.
Along with nearly 200 other NBC Network stations from coast to coast.
The program, called "Man on the Go for Van on the Go," salutes one state each week with a greeting from the governor, music, a ten-minute talk of colorful dramatic facts about the state's history, famous sons, recreational attractions, scenery and economic progress. It is sponsored by North American Van Lines, Inc.
Governor J. Hugo Aronson will open the broadcast with a brief message of welcome. In his talk Gov. Aronson will say, "Montana, the Treasure State, sends hearty greetings to all radio listeners.
Ours is a land of real industrial opportunity and an unexcelled friendly vacation site. We're well named the Treasure State and we hope to prove it to all the Governors in 1960 by being host to the 1960 National Governor's Conference.
