Editor's note—This is the sixth in a series to better acquaint valley football fans with the 1937 Spartan football players.

Big Bob Ballou, who first broke into the limelight on the B squad when he was a freshman and then made two letters in his sophomore and junior years, is expected to make his third varsity year his best season at El Centro high.

Ballou has been shifted from tackle, where he played last season, to his old post at center.

Ballou is a powerful tackler, a hard man to run plays over, and he is a better than average ball handler. Bob will prove another important fixture in the line when the Spartans begin their title defense.
