In contradiction to the anonymous letter, said to be written from Algiers by Capt. Truxton, of the London Packet, bound from London to Philadelphia, and addressed to one of his owners, as appeared in Saturday's Public Advertiser, we are authorised by Mr. Dennis De Berdt, merchant in Broad-street Buildings, to assure the Public, that he is the ship's husband, and the sole owner now in England; and that he has received no such letter from the Captain as that above alluded to, nor any account whatever from him since his departure from the English channel, which was about the 28th of July last; nor has Mr. Thomas Tayler, master of New-Lloyd's Coffee-house, received any news of the capture of said ship, or of any other accident having befallen her.
