CHOLERA AT RICHMOND.-We are permitted to make the following extracts from a private letter, dated Richmond, July 14. The writer is one in whom implicit confidence may be placed:

"You will no doubt receive very exaggerated accounts of the cholera being at Richmond, which I do not believe to have been the case until yesterday,-at least none that has proved fatal. Dr. Dolan died last night, and two Germans out of one family. The hearse conveyed the doctor to his grave this morning, without one single carriage in attendance, and only a few on foot followed. I never before saw such a funeral at Richmond. Perhaps there are not three other cases in the place at this time. A man came from Boston this morning for a doctor, but could not prevail upon one to go with him. They refuse to leave here. In fact they are nearly all sick and worn out with fatigue. The people are beginning to think the disease contagious, as all the doctors who went to Boston had an attack. The physician who went there to remain during its prevalence, died this week.

"A man in Boston refused admission into his house of a sister, whose husband had died of cholera; told her she must go home; he was afraid. There was no one at her home to take care of her, but a little girl seven years old and two younger. She went home, and died. Mr. Mason [undertaker] rendered her all the assistance in his power when he went to take a coffin out for another person. The most of them were buried after night of the day they died. I saw the coffins go out after supper, and Mr. Mason return by bed-time, he being obliged to put them in the coffin, and with another person, take them to the grave; and for one he had to dig the grave, the alarm was so great."
