Full Text

Poisoned by Mistake.

The mistake of a Main Street druggist has brought a great sorrow into one family in this city. On Wednesday evening a nine-months old babe was taken ill, and the parents obtained a prescription from a physician. This was taken to the drug store and filled. When the medicine was administered it was discovered that something was wrong. The physician did his utmost to counteract the effects, but to no purpose, and the baby died in a few hours. Thus it was learned that the bottles in the drug store had been "mixed" and a deadly poison given in place of what the prescription called for.
