BLUE EAGLE NEWS
By BARBAR SHOP CHORD

Owner James Jackson coordinates his racial opinions and tonsorial functions with an open mind which aids your columnist to determine what our readers want to glean beneath the headlines. The sparkling editorial from Monday's Boston Globe is a case in point we offer under our by-line:

"DARKNESS and LIGHT
The native African walks into a hotel or restaurant at Elizabethville, Belgian Congo, without fear of discrimination. He enters by invitation, extended on the conviction that all God's children are equals. White settlers in that remote section are making every attempt to end any semblance of racialism. The legal barriers have already been broken down. Now the attack is centered on destroying distinction as a social institution. Only last May the name of the white settlers' federation was changed to avoid any suggestion of racialism. Native Africans are being urged to join. In effect, the federation is linking two races in partnership. But bright as the light in the Belgian Congo is, it has failed to penetrate other sections of darkest Africa. These forward steps would be worthy of attention of the Malan Government in South Africa. South Africa could learn much too, from this movement, which has passed from experiment into reality. In our own United States there are still—as in Africa—unlighted blots along the Mississippi and in some of our cities. This darkness shrouds the finer sights of life."

Africa was known long ago as the "Dark Continent". Those that have the gall to think that is true now had better wake up. A marvelous racial about race of black people in Africa has set the whole world ablaze. These amazing facts have been simmering for many years toward unnoticed realities which protectorate nations dared not reveal. Malan's stupid racial discrimination edicts in South Africa have raised the curtain for display of the cringing white men's fear that the overpopulated natives will again take over and emulate a modern combined concept of Solomon and Sheba rule. We interviewed owner Jackson last week on Old Man Rhee's antics in South Korea. Natives in Africa have been setting on the side lines comparing notes on the advancement of India, the endurance of Red China and the rehabilitation of Japan under American tutelage. This has set the world all a stage and black men may become great actors. Our hope, if this happens, is that the Communists shroud will not envelop them. In deem shrend matin wisdom will make them avoid the pitfalls of ungodly Communism. The way things are going now with Moscow spearheading this world menace, a reform of these ideals is not in the offing. Can native African leaders sidestep Moscow's challenge on their surge for recognition and independence? ... Owner Jackson is not ready to answer this momentous question. Your columnist would like our readers to get busy and address us on what they think might happen with Asia and Africa pitted against the rest of the world in War or business.
