Full Text

Eimbeck, Nov. 12. At Length Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick has, with great Ability, carried his Point. Marshal Broglio declared publicly on all Occasions, that there was Nothing he wished for more than to come to a general Action with the Allies; and conducted his Affairs in such Manner as to give all the Countenance possible to this Opinion, believing that the Allies were actually retired. Yesterday at Daybreak he found they had turned his Left, and were on the Point of attacking him in Flank and Rear: On this he gave immediate Orders for blowing up the old and new Works here, which was done with so much Precipitation that General Waldner was buried under a Piece of the Wall; and though immediately taken out, has dislocated his Shoulder. Count Broglio was still in greater Danger. After this Operation the French immediately began their Retreat to Moringen, from whence they will probably continue their March to Gottingen. His Serene Highness has fixed his Head Quarters here for the present.
