Full Text

No Such Man

We do not understand the Martinsburg Statesman's reason for bringing personalities into the discussion, and especially offensive flings at persons. By the way, there is no such person as John O. Thompson in this county so far as we know. If there is we do not see how the Martinsburg Statesman can have any ground for abusing him. It certainly cannot on account of any remarks in the Echo. We do not think our objections to the utterances of a paper give us any grounds for abusing or sneering at any person, whether he is editor of that paper or not.
