The convention of the Chairmen of the various Democratic Executive Committees composing the Fourth District, which was called to meet in Elizabethtown, met according to call, but no quorum being present, adjourned to meet in Louisville at Alexander's Hotel yesterday, June 27th. The object of the meeting is to decide whether it is best for the interest of the Democratic party of the District for a convention to be held to nominate a candidate for Congress. If they decide to hold a convention they will also decide when and where, and a call will accordingly be made and a day set for the holding of primary conventions.
