Yesterday arrived a person who escaped from one of the men of war at New York last Saturday night, who says, that the embarkation of the enemy's baggage, waggons, artillery, draught horses, light horse, Hessians, and light infantry, was completed on Friday last; that the transport boats were ordered to be ready at a minute's warning, to put on board the vessels the grenadier and infantry, who were chiefly at Staten Island, off which the ships lay. He farther adds, that on board the ship he was in, Delaware river was said to be the place of destination.
