Hunting Interest Highest In History. Jackson Reports

Interest in the forthcoming deer hunting season for Hofmann Forest is higher than ever, Supervisor G. E. Jackson reported yesterday.

Jackson said every guide and party was already booked up and filled for the first hunt which takes place October 1-2, and that's two weeks away.

The hunters' work program which includes repairs and brushing of roads and trails and posting of boundaries will be wound up this week, after which workers who have put in a certain number of hours will be given hunting permits.
