CONTRACTS FOR BUILDING SCHOOL HOUSES.—The city is about to increase the accommodations for the education of the masses. Contracts have been entered into for the erection of two school-houses in the First Ward. One is to be put up at Ninth and Tasker streets, and is to be fifty by seventy feet, the other at Second and Morris streets, and to be forty-seven by seventy feet. Both of them are to be two stories high. A contract has been entered into for the erection of a school-house on Main street, below Mill, Germantown, to be fifty by fifty-two feet.
