INDIANA LEGISLATURE.—We have received no letter from the senior editor this week, and but one "tri-weekly" Journal, of the 15th.

The Legislature, according to that paper, will adjourn next Monday, the 25th.

The Butler Bill, on the 13th, was being discussed in the House.

The House passed a resolution to go into the election of State Printer on the 15th, the Senate concurring.

A bill re-organizing the militia passed the House on the 12th; it requires three musters each year—in case of failure to muster, throws a fine of 75 cents, additional guards around the collection of fines; districts the State anew.

A petition was presented by Mr. Julian, to incorporate Williamsburg, in this county—referred to a select committee of Julian and others.

A bill to authorize the voters of townships (excluding the counties of Harrison and Rush, they having special law on that subject,) to determine at the April elections against the granting of licenses to sell ardent spirits by retail therein, was reported by Mr. Julian from the Judiciary committee, and engrossed.

Mr. Seerest, from the ways and means committee, reported a bill to raise a revenue for State purposes for 1847—it levies a tax of 25 cents on the $100 valuation, and 75 c. poll tax, and 1 cent on $100 valuation, for each of the asylums—deaf and dumb, blind and insane; the bill passed to a second reading—

Mr. Stanfield, from the committee on the Judiciary, reported that said committee had diligently examined into the charges against George Johnson, Esq., probate judge of Allen co., but sufficient evidence was not laid before the committee to authorize them to find the charges true; the report was concurred in.

The Senate has been attending to local affairs. No election yet for Supreme Judge.
