L O N D O N,

April 9. On Sunday last some Boys being a Bird's-Nesting at Knightsbridge, and examining a Hedge by a Hay-Stack they heard something rattle, upon which they pulled aside some Straw which was there, and discovered a large Parcel of Pewter, Saucepans, China Punch-Bowls, Cups and Saucers, and Several other Things in Brass and China Ware. As soon as they had examined it, they told the People at Knightsbridge of the Affair, and Mr. Justice Ray, of the same Place, ordered a Constable with five Men to watch the Place at Night, to see if any Persons came for them; accordingly in the Evening they discovered two Men come to the Place, and begin to search; upon which they rushed out, and took them. One of them had a Green Curtain wrapped round him, in order to tie up the Goods and carry them off. They were both secured there that Night, and Yesterday Morning they were carried before Justice Lediard of New Palace-Yard Westminster who committed one to Bridewell and the other to the Gatehouse. One says he is Brother to a Publican in Fleet-Market. and the other was cleared out of Newgate not long since.
