Trio. July 15.--Miss Ruby Cooper, who has been visiting at the home of Mr. E. R. Rowell, returned to Epworth Orphanage, Columbia, on last Tuesday.
Mrs. Fred B. Horton and son, Fred, Jr., returned to Lake City last Thursday after a visit of ten days to Mrs. J. A. Salters.
Mr. Leon Register has returned to Wadesboro, N. C., after spending his vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Register.
Mr. T. S. Carter has returned from a visit to relatives in Lancaster, and Atlanta, Ga.
Mrs. W. H. Harper is spending a few days with her daughter, Mrs. Roland Scott in Georgetown.
Mrs. Laura Morris visited Mrs. A. J. Hale Monday between trains.
Miss Alice Parker has returned from a visit to Florida and lower South Carolina.
Mrs. Ruth Chandler and daughter, Eugenia, passed through Monday on their way home from Davis Station.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Rowell and son, Puett, and Mrs. T. S. Carter spent Monday in Kingstree.
Rev. and Mrs. W. S. Heath are with Mrs. Heath's father, Mr. Jackson of near Dillon, who has been quite sick.
Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Jeffords of Andrews, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Rowell.
Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Rowell and Miss Chessie Boyce spent Sunday at Mr. Sam P. Coopers, near Suttons.
Rev. and Mrs. W. T. Bedenbaugh and children returned to Marion last Saturday after spending some time with relatives in and around Trio.
We are glad to report that Miss Lona Lockliear, who was operated on the 5th in a Charlotte, N. C., hospital for appendicitis, is rapidly recovering and has been taken to her uncle's in that city for a while before coming home.
Mr. Ed Cooper is remodeling his store, thereby adding very much to the appearance of his place.
Mr. T. S. Carter spent Saturday and Sunday with Mr. R. P. Hinnant of Suttons. Saturday was Mr. Hinnant's birthday. Mr. Carter reports a very pleasant stay with Mr. Hinnant.
Most all the farmers around here are busy curing their tobacco.
The rains have done a great deal of damage to the corn and cotton crops.
