Since installing the auto on his mail route John A. Sutton, the faithful mail carrier, has traveled something over 5,000 miles with his Ford auto and during all his many trips has had little or no trouble with his machine.
Wednesday morning, however, on his regular trip to Paris he seems to have met grief in a great pile for he had two bad blowouts which occasioned between two and three hours delay. He had an unusual passenger list that morning-there were seven besides himself-besides considerable baggage and other parcels.
A mile and a half this side of Ovid, a report unmistakably indicated the deflation of the right hind tire, and another mile's run after repairs resulted in a repetition which necessitated the transfer of a part of the passengers to a passing wagon, a half-mile walk to Ovid and telephone for Mr. Rich of the Montpelier Garage, who came post haste with a new tire.
The balance of the trip was made without further trouble, the mail arriving at Paris about 2:30 p. m.
