Full Text

NEW-YORK, June 25.

Upon the tenure of the western posts an Indian war is, in a great measure, thought to depend. While they remain in the possession of the British, our frontiers, it is supposed, can never be at rest, as the Indians, it is conjectured, are assisted by the English traders, with warlike ammunition, if not instigated to attack us; as soon as the posts are in our power the war ceases.

Now this war is an article of expense to the nation, which, when removed, must give a very considerable spring to our credit; for a penny saved is a penny won, and on ready cash, as well as on ample resources, credit depends.
