New York, June 2.—The balloon, as fate would have it, lodged about 1 o'clock in the branches of a TREE which at the commencement of the revolution, was named "THE TREE of LIBERTY," on the farm formerly owned by one of the most respectable inhabitants, and now occupied by Cato Alexanders, on the great road to the northward, about five miles from this city.

Attached to the balloon, was the following:

"This balloon was made and sent up by William H. Parkhurst, of 83 Fulton street, at the time of the launch of the United States line of battle ship Ohio, from on board the steam boat Franklin. New York, May 30, 1820"
