LOCAL NEWS

Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Patterson and children, G. A. and Billy Burk of spent several days the past week as guests in the home of Mr. Brown and family.

Hunter Cade was among those who was on the sick list but has recovered from the flu the past week and is now back to his farm duties.

Tom E. Turner, who lives near was attending to business in Lexington last Tuesday afternoon.

W. Brooke Burwell of Ebenezer was among prominent business visitors in Lexington Thursday afternoon.

J. D. Williams of Acona greeted many friends in Lexington last Thursday afternoon.

W. W. Wynn of Cruger was in business Monday. While in he greeted many old friends and acquaintances where he formerly Cotton Seed Meal and Hulls at White's Corner G

J. E. Chisolm of Richland in Lexington Friday on business, making purchase of needed having the home re-papered.

J. W. Eakin of Tolarville on business matters Friday.

R. Y. Wright of Cruger was a Lexington visitor Friday, paying The Advertiser a visit while here. He was en route to Goodman to get his son, Wright, a student at Holmes College.

W. L. Upchurch carried a carload of boys to Castalian Springs Saturday afternoon where they enjoyed swimming. In the party were Harold and Upchurch, Jack Farmer, Paul Whitten and Tommie Taylor.

Mr. and Mrs. Buford Ellings of Greenwood were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Ellington Sunday.
