This stamp will be added shortly to collections of United Nations issues. The new stamp, slated to be placed on public sale on 11 May, was designed by George Hamori of Israel. It honors the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco), one of the U.N. specialized agencies, and shows the agency's symbol, a Greek temple whose pillars are formed from the letters UNESCO. The stamp will be issued in two denominations, the three-cent in orchid purple, and the eight-cent in kingfisher blue.
