A Candidate for Three Cent Honors.—Since the "Microscopic man" has left the vacant lot at the corner of 7th street and the Avenue, another individual in the itinerant business has taken his place. While passing there last evening, we were attracted to the spot by a crowd who were gaping at an individual, who was announcing to the multitude the superiority of his polishing balls, which "would, in two-and-a-half seconds by the watch, brighten silver, Britannia, brass, platina, or tin-ware, or he would forfeit the price of a large apple!" "So splendid an article, leddies and gintlemen, (and only 3 cents,) you should not fail to have, as it has been known to brighten up the countenances of several individuals while on their way to the scaffold!" We left.
