Full Text

Democratic Recruit. The Oregon City Enterprise is now edited by D.M. McKenny, and is a straight-out democratic paper. We are pleased to notice that the democracy is gaining recruits from the stronghold of the enemy. The Enterprise, under D. C. Ireland, was about the meanest black-republican paper in the land, and hence the change of editors and politics is something for the democracy to feel jubilant over. Let the democrats give the Enterprise and other reliable democratic newspapers a liberal support, and their success at the next June election is assured.
