Seven Beaver Trappers Get Limit

Seven Kodiak women may have new beaver coats next winter, if the men who trapped the limit this season are married, and present the furs to their wives!

Frank Beals, local Fish and Wildlife game refuge agent, disclosed yesterday that seven men had trapped the limit allowed, ten beaver, during the season which ended on Mar. 31.

Five others got eight or nine of the animals, Beals revealed. To date, a total of 147 skins has been sealed at the local FWS office, and trappers have a month from the closing date to have the furs sealed.

Rabbit season also closed March 31. The spring bear hunting season will close on June 20, Beals said.
