THE C. I. O. TOMMYROT

Elsewhere in this issue of The Courier we are carrying a story of a speech made by Philip Murray, President of the C.I.O. made in June at a meeting in Pennsylvania.

We print this story in order that our readers may know the kind of tommyrot the C.I.O., the communists, the radicals and the Truman Civil Rights crowd are preaching over America.

This kind of tommyrot goes unanswered outside of the South.

Next week I am going to answer what Mr. Murray says in my Strictly Personal column in The Courier.

Therefore, I wish you would read what he has to say in the story in this issue and that you will get ready to read my reply next week.

I may not be able to do justice to the job I have assigned myself but I will do the best that I can.

A lot of our own good people are listening to this kind of tommyrot and are beginning to believe in it. It is time that we hit this kind of propaganda and hit it hard. It is an absolutely false propaganda and it isn't worth listening to.

So look out for next week and let's be prepared to argue this question with these weak-minded brethren and sisters whose consciences are now bothering them because they believe our way of life is wrong.

How any person can believe that our way of life is wrong and this Russian communist theory is right is beyond conception.

But we have such folks.
