NEW BUSINESS BLOCK.
Five Brick Stores in Course of Erection
Douglas.

As indicating the confidence felt by business men in the ultimate growth and prosperity of Douglas, the International notes that this week work was commenced on the erection of a block of brick business buildings.

The lot on the northwest corner of Eleventh street and G avenue is owned by O. F. Schroeder and F. H. Perkins, and this week they put a force of men at work laying the foundations for a block of brick buildings, to be divided into five rooms for business purposes. Three of the stores will face on G avenue and will be 25x90 feet. Two stores, each 15x40 feet, will front on Eleventh street. A large portion of the material is already on the ground, and Messrs. Schroeder and Perkins expect to have the stores completed and ready for occupancy in sixty days. They are being put up for rent and applications have already been received for all of them.
