Charged with Murderous Assault—Hiding in Burlington.
Burlington, April 27.—A man named Felix Ganovese was arrested this morning at the residence of Mozzlo Dewillo, an Italian boarding house on Battery street, on the charge of murderous assault. He is wanted in connection with a stabbing and shooting affair in Mechanicville some time ago.
About 1,000 Italians are employed in the various industries in that city. The fight in which Ganovese is said to have been implicated occurred in a saloon, one man being shot, one stabbed in the back of the neck, and a third stabbed in the back. The third victim died.
Ganovese fled coming to this city. He was arrested by Deputy Sheriff D. J. Hubbs and officer James Mahon of Mechanicville, and was taken to that city where he will be arraigned on a charge of murderous assault and murder in the second degree.
