Full Text
No Insurance.
The telegram which appeared in the Prospector on Thursday night from Wm Sexton, addressed to J. V. Vickers was not explained, and consequently was not understood. The Prospector telegraphed through the courtesy of Mr. Vickers, to the Underwriters at San Francisco, asking if there was any insurance on the Contention works which were destroyed by fire last Sunday morning. The answer was that no insurance could be found, which settles the fact completely that there was no insurance on the works, and that the loss to the company was total.
